Lowndes Board of Elections (GA)
Today I went to our Board of Elections today to do an update to my address. As I walk in everyone is really nice and even ask me if I wanted to vote in our early elections. I politely decline and just explained I was updating my info for 2010. As soon as you walk in the door it doesn’t catch your eye, but as I took 10 steps in right on the wall is a poster of Barack Obama in a motivational style poster. I blink REALLY good one time and look again. Nope, it’s still there.
Well maybe they are allowed to have a picture of the president in the building, but this wasn’t a standard picture. I know we’re not in the Presidential election, but still having a picture of any political figure shouldn’t be ALLOWED. My thoughts are this may have an effect on voters that they are to be intimidated by his picture to vote within his party or he will see. It just reminds me of the BIG pictures of dictators in cities or in buildings. I personally find it offensive for any political person to have their picture in a polling place.
I have created a contact form that you can send to Lowndes County Board of Elections.
Our Destiny is not written for us, but by us. – Barack Obama
Wasn’t there a company names FUBU which was For Us By Us? now we have FUBBU

yeah it doesn’t really cover my instance since he isn’t running. Really even if he was running it could be left up from the way I interpret the links you sent me. Because technically it’s not campaign material…Still I find it inappropriate.
I think that any impartial judge would rule that this is wrong.
Impartial judges? What are those? Because we don’t have anything like that here in GA :p
lol…yeah they are rare anywhere.
Where is this place and what is it when it’s not a ‘polling place’?
This place is the Lowndes Board of Elections building. So it’s ALWAYS a polling place and records storage for voters.
Has anything ever come of this?
