Obama States the Obvious
It’s like watching John Madden commentate football. Here is the quote:
“We’ve got a very big border with Mexico,” he said. “I’m not interested in militarizing the border.”
I’m glad to see Obama knows that we have a big border with Mexico. My take is this on the border. The united States/ Mexican border is a big problem with trafficing drugs and arms. Thousands of people cross it every day. I don’t care how it gets done, we have got to secure the border. I think the following needs to be considered:
Build a REAL fence. Use technology. Video feed, movement sensors, UMAs (Unmanned AirCraft), etc... Get boots on the ground.
Rick Perry is right, it is a problem and we have got to get the resources down there. My opinion is that I don’t believe Rick Perry needs to wait on the Federal Government to send resources. He could organize his own Border Patrol and train them to patrol the Mexican Border. We’ve got the “Minute Men” that are down there trying to help. But you loose the communication between departments and proper training needed.
What would be the benefit for Rick to organize his own posse, he’d create jobs and cut down on the drug flow into the united States through Texas and set an example.
